The virtual seminar will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. (E.T.)
Silicon Valley's tech titans have brought their ambitions of remaking the world to the business of war. In this talk, journalist and author Sharon Weinberger explores the uneasy marriage between Big Tech and the Pentagon, drawing on her new book, Valley of Death: How Big Tech Is Fueling the Future of War. From venture-backed weapons startups to billionaire tech CEOs and investors wielding unprecedented influence over national security, Weinberger examines how Silicon Valley's culture of innovation and hype is reshaping the military-industrial complex, and what happens when the ethos of “move fast and break things” meets the realities of war.
