A School participant presenting during the Princeton School

Princeton University’s Program on Science and Global Security invites applications for the Princeton School on Science and Global Security to be held July 27-31, 2026 at the International Center for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy.

The annual Princeton School on Science and Global Security is an opportunity for next-generation scientists and engineers from around the world to engage with technical perspectives on understanding, reducing, and ending the threat from nuclear weapons. The goal of the School is to provide skills and insights that participants can use in their own research, and to encourage and inspire them to investigate new ideas to advance global security and a safer and more peaceful world. It aims to foster an international community of young and diverse researchers who share a common understanding and a common commitment to bring the best science-based policy analysis to addressing the global security problems created by nuclear weapons and emerging technologies.
